Every year as the days of spring come to a close, the tiny landmass called the Isle of Man braces for its biggest tourist event of the year – the Isle of Man TT. Throughout its over 100 year history, the popularity of this incredible adrenaline-inducing event has only grown and become a bucket list trip for motorcycle enthusiasts all over the world.
But with great popularity comes great preparation.
With an event this popular, items like hotels and ferry tickets have to be scheduled one whole year in advance. Of all the trips we organize, the Isle of Man Wales Adventure takes the most preparation. If you were at all contemplating a trip to the TT this year, you’ll likely not find lodging and will have to go standby for a ferry ticket.
Let MotoQuest give you the adventure of a lifetime without any planning headaches.
Isle of Man Wales Adventure

May 28, 2021 – June 9, 2021
So why do we painstakingly plan this trip? It’s simple really. Seeing the way each rider soaks up this event is worth every moment of planning.
When you are on the Isle of Man, there is a palpable electricity in the air. Everywhere you look, everywhere you go, you see motorcycles from all over Europe. Every crack and crevice of the island is inundated by two wheeled travelers. An excitement builds as you are there, as every day, more and more motorcycles are disgorged by the ferries arriving daily from Liverpool and elsewhere.
The races happen every afternoon while you are on the island, so you have the first part of the day to ride the actual race course, visit vintage collections, watch vintage races, shop for your next race viewing spot, stroll the pits, and explore the island. We spend five wonderful nights on the island and you’ll get a chance to get to know this little gem of the United Kingdom.
Most days are during the practice week. We like this time frame, because the island is not so crowded that you can’t move around freely. You can actually walk the pits and talk to the racers. Track records are being set during the practice week, so you are not missing out on seeing the real action. There are several viewing areas we love to go to, and you are welcome to join our guides, or explore the island and watch the races on your own.
We have been getting great feedback from our riders on this trip. There is more freedom for riders to roam on their own than the majority of our trips. Riders muse that it is not only the Isle of Man TT race, but the entire 11-day ride and the experiences they get to enjoy along the way that make it special.
Your first night stay is in the little town where Shakespeare was born. You visit the British National Motorcycle Museum. You get to check out the Cavern Club, where the Beatles got their start in Liverpool. You get to experience the thrill of hundreds of motorcycles loading onto the ferry to and from the Isle of Man. You also explore Snowdonia National Park and Brecon-Beacons National Park in scenic Wales. On the last day, you get to stroll StoneHenge.
It’s the complete motorcycle trip in terms of great riding and profound history, all wrapped around a once in a lifetime motorcycle event. And then once you witness the first superbike blaze past you on the narrow country road they call the “raceway”… you just tingle.
That feeling will never be erased. You are now part of the epic Isle of Man TT!
There are only four spots remaining for the 2020 trip and like we’ve mentioned, MotoQuest has taken care of all the tedious planning to make this an adventure of a lifetime!
Are you ready? We are!
