Off-Season Rental Rates Now In Effect

It’s official; autumn has arrived. As the days grow shorter, the leaves turn colors, and the temperatures begin to drop, we say goodbye to our Anchorage shop and migrate south for the winter. But for us here at MotoQuest, the changing of seasons brings with it more than just beautiful foliage and cooler days because October officially marks the beginning of our off-season rental rates.

Fall and Winter is the best time of year to ride in California’s incredible deserts, including Death Valley, Joshua Tree, and Mojave.

If you have followed us for long enough or have been a rental customer in the past, then you may already know that our base rental rates are lower from October through February (the off-season). For those of you who don’t, consider this comparison for a 4-day rental:

March – September
4-Day Rate
October – February
4-Day Rate
Suzuki DL650
V-Strom
$540 base rate $260 base rate
BMW R 1200 GS $700 base rate $480 base rate

*All rates listed above are the base rental rates for 4 days

Two day riding range from our San Francisco location

Two day riding range from our Los Angeles location

The cherry on top is the fact that unlike most of the rest of the country, out here on the West Coast our riding season is pretty much year round. So when the snow starts to pile up in your driveway, just remember that you could be flying out to California for a long weekend on two wheels.

Explore the Pacific Coast on a Suzuki V-Strom, or one of our other touring or adventure bikes.

We’ve gone ahead and looked at the average temperatures out here at our headquarters in Southern California, conveniently located just down the street from the Long Beach Airport (LGB). This is a great jumping off point for a ton of great motorcycle destinations, including Pacific Coast Highway, Death Valley, Joshua Tree, the Grand Canyon, Baja, and more!

October: average high of 77° F
November: average high of 72° F
December: average high of 67° F

Escape the cold this winter and get yourself to Baja, Mexico!

So if you need a break this winter to get out of the cold and get back on the road, give us a call or head over to our website to start planning your rental vacation. Need some inspiration? Take a look below at some of the resources we’ve put together.
