Early November in the northern hemisphere typically means wet and chilly weather is rolling in, and we’re not having any of it. Consider escaping from your dreary skies to ride dirt roads on our Death Valley Scouting Adventure from November 7 – 15, 2020! We’re expecting warm, but not broiling temperatures during the day while we ride and cool, but not freezing temperatures at night when we kick off our boots and check out the stars on this hotel to hotel journey.

If you’re living the Monday-Friday life, you only need to take five days off from work to join the fun. Here’s the itinerary:
Day 1 (Saturday):Â Get yourself to Long Beach, California in time to meet the squad at the welcome dinner.
Day 2 (Sunday):Â Pick up the bikes from our shop and ride through Angeles National Forest and up to our hotel in Kernville, California. This is a scouting trip, so we may explore forest roads along the way. Prepare for a long riding day with laughs and u-turns.
Day 3 (Monday): Make our way from Kernville to Furnace Creek, and maybe get los… er… immerse ourselves in more forest roads along the way. Unpack and get comfy because this is our home base for the next few nights. Bring your swimmy suit, too, because our selected hotel has a pool and other guests who may prefer not to see you in your birthday suit.
Days 4, 5 & 6 (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday):Â Out rides from Furnace Creek to:
- Ubehebe Crater and The Racetrack Playa – Home of the Sailing Stones! Take in the view as you attempt to explain the mystery of how these rocks have traveled. If you’ve already solved it, you should still come see what has left physicists scratching their heads for so long. This route features a long stretch of unpaved road.
- Titus Canyon – This is the most dramatic out ride which brings us into Nevada and drops down into Death Valley. Colorful rock formations will surround us as we maneuver through a one-way narrow canyon. Keep your eyes peeled as these steep slopes are home to bighorn sheep, cacti, and a variety of rare plants. This route features a long stretch of unpaved road and some challenging bits toward the end. We recommend you look where you want to go and remember to breathe.
- Badwater Basin and Artist’s Drive – If you thought you couldn’t get any lower than traveling with MotoQuest on a scouting trip, we’re taking you to the lowest point in North America (282 feet below sea level).  We’ll cruise through Artist’s Drive and take breaks to admire the vibrant hues of the Black Mountains caused by oxidation. This route features paved roads, but we might figure out a way to get ourselves back onto dirt.
Day 7 (Friday): Pack up your stuff because we’re rolling through the Mojave National Preserve, the tiniest smidge of Route 66, past Sheephole Valley Wilderness, and spending the night near Joshua Tree.
Day 8 (Saturday): We’ll meander through Joshua Tree National Park, along curvy mountain roads, and eventually back to our Long Beach facility to return the motorcycles before freshening up at the hotel and feasting one last time as a group.
Day 9 (Sunday):Â Departure day. Head home with fresh dust in your riding gear and a big smile!
