There is a region that we at MotoQuest are always excited to introduce riders to and that is the amazing American Southwest. With two adventures – The American Southwest and Wonders of the West – that fully encompass all the area has to offer, riders can essentially take two trips back-to-back and have experienced a landscape like no other. Once you ride it, you’ll never forget it!
We run each tour twice a year during the area’s ideal riding season, with the Wonders of the West heading out from October 18th to 24th and the American Southwest running from October 25th to November 3rd. Placing the two adventures back-to-back was designed for the rider ready to set out and find out how wonderful the west is from one side to the other. It all starts and ends in Las Vegas, a wonder in and of itself.
The American Southwest adventure spans nearly five states – you’ll at least get a foot inside New Mexico at Four Corners – in a quest to see the most majestic landscapes on this side of the Mississippi. You won’t be disappointed waking up to see the sun rise over Monument Valley’s “Mittens” or basking in the beauty of the Grand Canyon.
The Wonders of the West makes stops at the Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park, Route 66, Hoover Dam, Joshua Tree National Park, Lake Arrowhead, Angeles Crest Highway, Ubehebe Crater and Scotty’s Castle. These are just some of the “wonders” you’ll behold!
Each place you visit is handpicked to immerse you in the American Southwest. Often, you can ride right up to a special site along the route. Once settled in for the night, we always encourage our guests to sit out under the stars. The night sky in the American Southwest is tough to beat. It’s hard to explain what you’ll feel when you experience the vastness of the sky and see more stars than you could ever imagine.

We sat down with one of our guides, Dan Patino, who has taken groups through the American Southwest many, many times and never gets tired of being able to show riders what makes the region so special. If you haven’t traveled these vistas, the time is now! But remember there are only two spots available for the American Southwest tour this October. Act now!
