The incredible topography of the Southern Hemisphere begs for riders to enjoy an adventure on two wheels throughout one of the world’s most incomparable landscapes. In South America, one region in particular is packed so full of adventure and beauty that we had to create two different experiences.

Patagonia – a region shared by Chile and Argentina – was made to be explored by motorcycle, and MotoQuest has provided the adventure-seeking rider a choice of Northern Patagonia, through the incredibly beautiful Lakes District, or a more intense ride that leads you to a bucket-list stop to the “end of the earth” at the southern tip of Tierra Del Fuego.

The End of the Earth adventure is always quick to fill up, but there are a few spots remaining for this trip that runs between January 22 and February 8, 2020. The journey starts 12 days north of Tierra Del Fuego and incorporates riding all throughout the Andes on both sides of the Argentinian and Chilean border. The views are truly incredible, making even some of the tougher riding all worth it.

This trip appeals greatly to those looking for a challenge as some of the roads aren’t for the faint of heart. We don’t shy away from saying there are sections of road that will be windy with deep gravel, but having said this, it’s something you can conquer with a little unpaved experience or at least with an adventure riding course prior to the trip. Most of the tour isn’t like this but there are parts of it that will creep up on you so get ready to use those pegs!

Once you’ve conquered the journey south, you get to experience the accomplishment of making it to the end of Route 3 and the End of the Earth. Grab a photo with the iconic sign to provide proof to your friends that you were only 1,000 km away from Antarctica.

For some, this is their favorite stop on the journey. For others, it’s often the rare experiences that you can only get when joining up with a MotoQuest tour. One of the night’s stays is way out at a working estancia in Argentina where they generate their own electricity. The floodplain is full of cattle, horses and sheep as far as the eye can see. After settling in, riders are served a dinner of lamb on a spit and it’s simply incredible. Between the quiet surrounding pastures and the sheer enormity of the pampas of Patagonia, along with the remoteness of this place all lend to a world-class experience.

We know 16 days of riding along rugged terrain isn’t for everyone yet the vast beauty of Patagonia and its Lakes District is something everyone should experience first-hand, which is why we created a separate adventure just for this. From March 21 – 31, 2020, the Northern Patagonia adventure explores the diversity of the Lakes District on both sides of Chile and Argentina. Designed for those with a little less time, this trip has a way of finding views that really set this area of Patagonia apart. It includes some dirt roads, but nothing to the challenge of the End of the Earth adventure.

The route for the Northern Patagonia adventure was carefully selected to get you to naturally beautiful destinations that many don’t get to experience when sticking just to the paved roads. Whether moving along dirt or pavement, the riding is truly enjoyable with magnificent views all around. Want to see penguins and then later stand at the base of a hanging glacier? Then the Northern Patagonia trip is for you!

As we mentioned, the Patagonia End of the Earth Adventure is nearly full so please reach out to us as soon as possible if you are interested. Our team is ready to give you more information to help you decide if this adventure is right for you.
