It’s hard to believe that the days are starting to get shorter and the riding season in our Anchorage facility is winding down. We have just a few more adventures left to guide up in Alaska and things will really start to feel like the edges of fall are upon us. While it’s sad to see another summer coming to an end, most of our seasoned customers know this is also one of the best times of the year because that means…Transporter Specials!
Twice a year, adventure seekers everywhere take advantage of some of the best rental deals you could ever find. This past spring we had riders from Florida to Iceland that grabbed the best rates of the season – with some daily rentals coming in at just $25 per day.
If you’ve never rented from us before, you’ll probably want to know right away that we run things differently than, say, a car rental facility. To get you up to speed, we sat down with one of our favorite Motorcycle Vacation Addiction Enablers, Robyn “Roko” Kocienski to see what makes MotoQuest’s Rental Program stand out from the rest.

Since she has so much expertise in the region, we asked RoKo to let us in on a few of her top spots to stop at on a trip from Alaska to Portland. Here are three of her favorites…
“This is a motorcyclist-specific space for adventurers who don’t require electricity or running water. You can pitch your own tent, rent a cabin or ambulance to set up your own bedding inside. Vanessa, the owner, will fire up the sauna if you ask. You’ll often make new friends while tossing horseshoes or pointing out farkles on KLR’s.”
“Soak your cares away at the Liard Hot Springs. Even if you’re planning to ride down the Cassiar, it’s worth the side trip.”
“If you dig dirt roads, jam about 20 miles up gravel switchbacks to get a closer look at Salmon Glacier. It’s a beautiful sight.”
One last thing to note for those rentals going to Portland or the few that we have leaving Portland. The area around Portland is rich with twisty roads and breathtaking scenery itself, which should be considered when creating your route. With our North to Alaska adventure and our Trail of Lewis and Clark adventures both taking advantage of the surrounding backroads of the Pacific Northwest, our consultants will have a good deal of knowledge to suggest additional stops once back across the U.S. border.
We guess the only question now is this – are you ready to put rubber to the pavement and experience the freedom of hitting the open road on two wheels? The options are endless to what can be accomplished during your rental.
